Forgot password for the SMA Energy app

SMA Energy app forgot password

If you have forgotten your password for the SMA Energy app, you can easily request it again via the site. Follow these steps:

On the SMA Energy App home screen, click on 'log in'

On the page for username and password, scroll down

Click on the text 'forgot your password?'

Fill in your e-mail address and click 'reset password'

You'll see the message 'password request sent'. Now go to your e-mail inbox to find the e-mail that was just sent

In your e-mail inbox you'll find a message from 'SMA ID System' with the title 'New password requested': open the e-mail and click on 'Reset Password'

Here you can create the new password (fill it in twice). It must contain at least 10 characters, both lower and uppercase letters, numbers and special characters such as ! or ?

After filling in the new password twice click on 'reset password'. Now you can go back to the login screen of the app and try again: it should work with the new password now.
