Most inverters no longer have a display, meaning you can no longer simply read the yield from the screen. But if you keep your smartphone near the inverter, you can still do it: How does that work?
The trend with inverters is clear: less screen, more use of your smartphone. The latest SMA models have not had a display for some time, and SolarEdge is following that trend. The logic behind this is that inverters are now all connected to the internet, so you can read everything online anyway: Why pay extra for a display on the device that could also break?
If you still want to read out the data from the inverter directly instead of via the internet, then that is also possible.
