The SunPower Reserve combines a hybrid inverter with a home battery. This allows you to always have access to your own sustainably generated energy and protects you from the unpredictability of the grid and feed-in costs.
Controllable for imbalance market
This home battery differs from other batteries in that it is controllable for imbalance market in combination with a dynamic energy contract (note: for now only with Frank Energy, in the future other energy suppliers).

Frequently asked questions about the SunPower Reserve
At this time, the Sunpower Resesrve can only be used by Frank Energie on imbalance trading. As soon as other energy suppliers can power imbalance trading on the Sunpower Reserve battery, we will let you know via our newsletter.
To qualify for VAT refund, it is important that you have not used the KOR scheme in the past. One option is to apply for a new KOR scheme in your partner's name for your battery installation (the energy contract must also be in your partner's name). Furthermore, you are required to purchase a dynamic contract for 5 years.
You will receive the amount 3 to 6 months after your application.
You can stop trading at any time. This does have requirements if you have already received a VAT refund. According to the tax authorities, you trade with your battery when you have a dynamic contract. You can also choose to trade less or not trade at Frank Energie. Should you still want to switch to a fixed contract within 5 years, you are officially obliged to pay back 20% (per year, without a dynamic energy contract) of the VAT refund.
You can view your earnings and savings through the Frank Energy App.
Your Sunpower Reserve battery can be used on the imbalance market. This means that when a shortage or surplus occurs on our power grid, your battery will be directed by Frank Energie to charge or discharge. For this, you will receive a substantial fee from Frank Energie. With this smart control, your battery helps keep our power grid in balance and solves grid congestion.
