Hessel van den Berg

Hessel van den Berg (1970) is technical manager at Zonnefabriek.

He regularly reports on current developments in the world of sustainable energy. Hessel has a talent for translating complex information into crystal-clear blogs.

He obtained his master's degree in physics at the University of Groningen, where he specialized in global energy and environmental issues. Hessel has been working as a technical expert, editor and trainer at Zonnefabriek since 2014. He also works at our partner SMA, where he is responsible for technical calculations of solar power projects, solving technical issues and training solar power professionals in the Benelux. Fun fact: he speaks fluent Chinese.

Geert Scholten has been working as a service technician at Zonnefabriek since 2009. He specializes in the installation of solar panels, battery systems, and EV charging stations. Geert is responsible for getting installations back up and running and supporting customers with any questions they may have.
