Resetting the SB 1300, 1600 or 2100TL Inverter

By performing a 'reset' (powering off and on) of the Sunny Boy inverter, the data transfer can easily be restored. Read here which steps you need to take.

Resetting the SB1300TL, 1600TL or 2100TL Inverters

The Sunny Boy 1300 / 1600 / 2100TL is always connected to the internet via a network cable, often through Powerline Adapters. If resetting the Powerline adapters doesn’t help, you can try resetting the inverter itself by disconnecting the power on both sides (from the grid and from the panels), and then switching it back on. Here’s how:

  • Step 1

    Switch off the AC (alternating current) side. You can do this by flipping the switch of the solar power group (recognizable by the Zonnefabriek sticker) down in your fuse box.

  • Step 2

    Then go to the inverter. At the bottom of the device, there is a special kind of handle that – with some gentle wiggling – can be pulled straight down vertically. In the photo, this part is marked with a red circle.

  • Step 3

    The device is now disconnected from both the AC and DC sides, but there is still residual voltage in the capacitors. After approximately 30 seconds, the device will be completely de-energized.

  • Step 4

    Now we’ll restart the device, beginning with the DC side by pushing the part you previously pulled out back into place. If inserted correctly, the green LED on the inverter will start to blink slowly.

  • Step 5

    Finally, return to the fuse box and switch the 'Solar power' group back on by pushing the switch upwards.

  • Step 6

    fter a while, communication with the portal server should resume as normal.
    Note: The graphs showing daily, monthly, and yearly yields may take a bit longer to reappear. Typically, these will only become visible again on Mijn Zonnefabriek and in the Zonnefabriek app after a few hours.
