There are three lights on the SMA EV charger: one that can light up yellow or green, one blue and one red.

If the yellow LED is on continuously the charging station is locked. In order to charge you need to release the charging process, either using the app or by scanning an RFID card (charging card)

Once the charging process is released, the yellow LED will flash quickly.

The green one indicates the status of the charging.

A green LED that is on continuously indicates that the charger is charging. If the green LED flashes quickly, the charging station is in 'fast charging' mode (maximum power, without taking solar power into account)

If the green LED is off, there is no charging happening.

The blue light indicates the status of the internet connection.

A blue LED that is on continuously indicates that the inverter is connected to another device, usually your router for the internet. If the blue LED is on constantly, but the connection to the internet is still not working, this is probably due to a setting in your router, or a fault with your Internet Service Provider.

A blue LED that flashes indicates that a connection is being established with another device such as your router, usually via WiFi. If the connection has been successfully established, the blue LED changes from a flashing signal to a constantly lit light.

The red LED indicates that a fault has occurred. A red LED that flashes irregularly indicates that either the communication with the Home Manager has failed, or that the charging power is being reduced because otherwise too much current would flow through the main fuse. A message will appear on the display.

If the red LED remains on constantly, you will see an error message on the display, with an error code. If the problem does not go away and the LED remains on, please contact our service department.
